Retail managers don’t focus enough on making and communicating a plan to achieve their goals. Like a doctor that not only will diagnose a problem but prescribe a course of treatment, managers need to get their subordinates to agree on a specific plan of action. Unlike a doctor, they should not just create performance plans (prescriptions) for problems but for making good workers even better.
