Spending on beauty supplies is up this year, says a new NPD survey. Skincare products rose by 10%, makeup by 7%, and even the small growth fragrance market saw a 5% increase. All this indicates a change in buyers’ attitudes, even in an economic downturn, towards spending a little more on themselves.
