Should leaders be focused on results or on their social skills? While ideally leaders would be great at both, recent studies show that a very small percentage of businesspeople actually are. Since technically savvy people have been shown to be more likely to become leaders than those equipped with social skills, leaders may look to complement their strengths by hiring employees with greater people skills.
